- Write anything on the Will, as this may invalidate it.
- Lean on the Will when writing anything, as this may invalidate the Will.
- Do not spill anything on the Will, as this may invalidate it.
- Advise your executor and (if applicable) your alternate executor as to where you will keep the original of the Will.
- Review your Will a minimum of every 3-5 years or if there are significant changes to your, your executor’s or your beneficiaries circumstances, and update your Will as may be necessary.
- Make a new Will if you divorce or get married, as, unless you make your Will in contemplation of divorce or marriage, these events will invalidate a Will.
- Keep your Will in a safe place.
